Community Youth Chairman, Aninyei Urges Support For Diokpa Odashidiolu

The Chairman of Ogbeosadi youths Welfare Association in Obodogwugwu Quarter, Okpanam, Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State, Comrade Uche Prince Aninyei, has promised the unwavering cooperation and support of youths in the community to the leadership of their most senior elder, Diokpa Robert Odashidiolu.

Comrade Aninyei,  a duly elected chairman of Ogbeosadi youths, who gave the assurance in Okpanam while speaking with journalists, described the installation of Odashidiolu as their Diokpa-Isi as a welcome development and in line with the gerontocratic leadership system being operated in the community(leadership by seniority).

He stated that Diokpa Odashidiolu had fulfilled all the needed requirements apart from the fact that God had given him the position by keeping him alive to be coronated as their Diokpa-Isi, expressing optimism that his reign would bring more unity, peace and development to the community.

While congratulating their most elderly man for the grace of longevity of life God has been giving to him and more importantly, for his installation as their Diokpa-Isi, Comrade Aninyei reiterated his commitment for the peaceful co-existence in the community.

The renowned Ogbeosadi youth leader also used the opportunity to appeal to their Diokpa-Isi to continue to maintain his credibility and integrity and carry everybody along in the scheme of things.

He stated that peace was important for the upliftment of every community and described peace and unity as catalysts for positive change in any society.

Comrade Aninyei, however, implored youths of Ogbeosadi village and Okpanam community at large to remain steadfast in the growth of the community and strive towards abstaining from crimes such as cultism, drug abuse, unnecessary intimidations of one another and any other form of violent activities.
