Ughelli North Local Government Area is buzzing with activity as officials and residents turn out en masse for a special sanitation drive ahead of the Flyover Groundbreaking Ceremony on Monday by His Excellency Sheriff Oborevwori.
Chairman of the council, Olorogun Barr. Jaro Movudu Egbo, KSC, led the charge, emphasizing the importance of a clean environment for the event.
He said, “We’re here to ensure the area is spotless, showcasing our commitment to environmental responsibility,” .
While addressing newsmen during the special sanitation exercise at Otovwodo, the chairman stated that the Flyover will Ease traffic worsening.
He further explained that the Flyover is expected to significantly reduce traffic congestion in the area, a major hub for commerce and transportation.
“Time is money, and this project will save us valuable time,” Egbo noted.
Construction is on track, with pillars already in place, and the project is expected to be completed within the 14-month target.
he added that he flyover will transform the area into a city center, with beautification plans underway and that residents are optimistic about the improved infrastructure and economic opportunities.
