The Rotary Club of Sapele Urban Celebrates Rotarian Anthony Aghogho Owumi on His Birthday Anniversary

The Rotary Club of Sapele Urban, District 9141, joyfully celebrates one of its own—a charter member and cherished Rotarian, Chief Anthony Aghogho Owumi (JP). Over the years, he has consistently displayed exemplary leadership, sterling qualities, and a deep commitment to the ideals of Rotary.

In his tribute, Rotarian President Richard Randy Okotie described Owumi as “a born philanthropist, a cheerful giver, an exemplar, and a seasoned administrator, whose dedication to Rotary and its activities is truly unparalleled.”

Chief Owumi, a revered son of the great Okpe Kingdom and reputed as the richest Okpe man alive, is also a Fellow of the Paul Harris Foundation in recognition of his remarkable contributions to the Rotary Foundation.
President Okotie further extolled him as “a man of impeccable character and a visionary leader worth emulating.”
On behalf of the members of the Rotary Club of Sapele Urban and Rotary International, I extend my heartfelt prayers that God will grant you greater wisdom—like that of King Solomon—to continue living a fulfilled life of impact. DTSG Shifts BECE , Reschedules Examinations Commencement Date To  Monday, June 16 By Magnus Emuji  The 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) , earlier scheduled to begin from June 9 to June 13 for both public and private secondary schools in Delta State has been shifted to a new date . Edwin Clark dies at 97 Former Federal Commissioner for Information and South-South Leader, Edwin Clark, is de@d. According to a statement released by his family, the chairman of the Pan Niger Delta Forum, PANDEF died on Monday night,February 17. He was 97 years old.  The statement read,  “The Clark-Fuludu Bekederemo family of Kiagbodo Town, Delta State, wishes to announce the passing of Chief (Dr.) Sen. Edwin Kiagbodo Clark OFR, CON on Monday 17th February , 2025.’’ Born in Kiagbodo, in the Ijaw area of what is now Delta State, late Clark attended primary and secondary schools at Effurun, Okrika and Afugbene before completing further studies at the Government Teacher Training College, which later became Delta State University, Abraka. Thereafter, he worked briefly as a school teacher before traveling abroad to earn a law degree.
