Victor Emerges As President Elect, Elume District.

Elume district in Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State has erupted in a euphoria of jubilation after Mr Victor Ukueje emerged as the winner of the 2025 district election, conducted on Saturday, August 9th, 2025.

The election was conducted to enable new executives to lead the district after the expiration of the tenure of President Felix Emuobonuvie, who is expected to hand over to Mr Victor Ukueje led administration.

Some of the officers elected and entrusted with the mantle of leadership that attracted residents of Elume and other personalities from Sapele main town were Mr Victor Ukueje, President, Mr Gabriel Ayovunaduo, Vice President, Hon (Dr) Abegbe Robinson Secretary, Mr Cyril Omoroba, Assistant Secretary, Mr Income Okionokio, Financial Secretary, Mr Goodluck Agberobo, PRO, Mr Fineboy Taire, Social Security, Mr Otuma John, Treasurer, Mr Friday Erabor, Disciplinary Officer, and Mr Wilson Achojaye, Auditor.

Chief Austyn Opubor who spoke to news men immediately after Mr Victor Ukueje emerged as President Elect of Elume district said; "I am elated with the conduct of the election, I congratulate all the winners and urge them to carry everyone along as they take Elume to greater heights.

On his part, winner of the recently conducted election, Mr Victor Ukueje who could not bottle his joy, said, "I thank everyone who came to witness this election, I want to appreciate the good people of Elume for finding me worthy of this position. I assure that, with the confidence reposed on me, I shall not let them down, my administration would be unique as we would run an inclusive and open door policy were everyone is carried along. We shall be open to corrections and suggestions to the greater good of Elume district, he added.

The handing over ceremony from President Felix Emuobonuvie's administration to Mr Victor Ukueje led administration is expected to hold on September 14th, 2025.

Edwin Clark dies at 97 Former Federal Commissioner for Information and South-South Leader, Edwin Clark, is de@d. According to a statement released by his family, the chairman of the Pan Niger Delta Forum, PANDEF died on Monday night,February 17. He was 97 years old.  The statement read,  “The Clark-Fuludu Bekederemo family of Kiagbodo Town, Delta State, wishes to announce the passing of Chief (Dr.) Sen.
