Stella Agbofodobo football competition ends with Iyohen FC clinching first position.
Workaholic female councillor Hon. Mrs Stella Agbofodobo has organized a football competition, first of it's kind.
The football competition came to an end with Oyohen FC lifting the championship trophy after defeating Ibada-Elume FC 1-0 who clinched the second position. Young stars took third, while Elume junction team took 4th position.
The football competition was held at Ochemu primary school field and kicked off at about 3pm on Sunday, August 10th, 2025.
The match was full of energy, showcasing the talent and unity of local football teams and was witnessed by political spectators amongst other guests.
1st Place: Iyohen FC - 60,000 naira.
2nd Place: Ibada-Elume FC - 40,000 naira
3rd Place: Young Stars - 20,000
Mr Nathaniel Samuel Ugbene chairman of the event congratulated all participating teams for their hard work, discipline, commitment and sportsmanship throughout the tournament. He added that the football competition has brought so many person together to watch the tournament and it serves as a way of promoting peace, unity and talent development amongst local football team. In continuation, he gifted the winners of football competition Iyohen FC with the sum of 100,000 naira, adding to their initial win, and donated 200,000 naira to the organisers of the football tournament as he promised to host a bigger football competition will more team members.
On his part Mr Andrew Agbofodobo gifted the Iyohen FC the sum of 20,000 naira and organisers of the football tournament the sum of 30,000 naira.
Serving councillors amongst whom are Hon. Peter Eferurie Adjemiyotan, Hon Eguonor Ejokpaoghene, Hon. Odiri Oba Justice, Hon. Benjamin Inikoro, Hon. Kevwe Idonoro and Hon. Amugen Okiemute on their part donated the sum of 50,000 naira to the organisers of the football tournament.
Hon. Stella Agbofodobor while addressing newsmen congratulated the winning team for clinching the trophy, other team members and all those who contributed in making the football competition a success, adding that without their support, her dreams of hosting a football competition wouldn't have been successful.
