“This is my happiest day, not just because of my promotion but because of the support I received during my time here. I had a peaceful tenure, and that was only possible due to the cooperation of the people of Sapele and the support of other security agencies.”
Speaking at the event, ACP Innocent Umerie, the Sapele Area Commander, congratulated Alade on his well-deserved promotion. “We are proud of ACP Musiliu Alade. This is just the beginning of greater things to come for him,” he said. “We will continue to support each other, and I pray that one day, he takes over from me as well.”

A senior police officer, DCO 2 Stephen Ukoba praised Alade’s leadership. “During his time here, crime rates dropped significantly. Madam Grace Edafe, a trader at the Sapele main market, also spoke highly of the outgoing DPO. “I have never seen him but I heard of what he was doing and a friend told me how he insisted on bringing suspects to him and interrogating them and he would let most of them go if they are innocent and had nothing on their neck why they were arrested. “He will be missed, but we are happy for his promotion,” she said.

A senior Vigilante officer, Mr. Felix Oboh, emphasized the importance of collaboration between security agencies, noting that Alade’s leadership made it easy to combat crime. “He saw us as partners, not just subordinates. That made security operations more effective,” Oboh said.
