COMMISSIONER FOR SPECIAL DUTIES, TERRY ETACHERURE CELEBRATES DELTA FIRST LADY.

The Honourable Commissioner, Bureau for Special Duties, Etacherure Ejiro Terry, has congratulated the wife of the Governor of Delta State, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, on her 55th birthday.

In a statement, Etacherure applauded Deaconess Tobore for her simplicity, zeal, dedication, and love for serving God, as well as her commitment to improving the lives of all Deltans through her 'You Matter Charity Foundation'.

The Commissioner described the First Lady as the "Mother of the State", whose contributions to society are truly remarkable. He commended her relentless efforts in helping children with autism and praised her for being a shining example of selflessness and compassion.

He further expressed gratitude to the First Lady for her unwavering support and devotion to Governor Oborevwori and the entire state. He acknowledged her role in promoting the M.O.R.E Agenda through her office and prayed for God's continued guidance, good health, strength, and wisdom to enable her to handle the enormous responsibilities of her office and continued impact on the lives of Deltans.

DTSG Shifts BECE , Reschedules Examinations Commencement Date To  Monday, June 16 By Magnus Emuji  The 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) , earlier scheduled to begin from June 9 to June 13 for both public and private secondary schools in Delta State has been shifted to a new date . A statement from the Functioning Permanent Secretary in Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Mr. Daniel Akiri, on behalf of the State Commissioner for Secondary Education, Mrs. Rose Ezewu said that the would now commence from June 16 to June 20. Edwin Clark dies at 97 Former Federal Commissioner for Information and South-South Leader, Edwin Clark, is de@d. According to a statement released by his family, the chairman of the Pan Niger Delta Forum, PANDEF died on Monday night,February 17. He was 97 years old.  The statement read,  “The Clark-Fuludu Bekederemo family of Kiagbodo Town, Delta State, wishes to announce the passing of Chief (Dr.) Sen. Edwin Kiagbodo Clark OFR, CON on Monday 17th February , 2025.’’ Born in Kiagbodo, in the Ijaw area of what is now Delta State, late Clark attended primary and secondary schools at Effurun, Okrika and Afugbene before completing further studies at the Government Teacher Training College, which later became Delta State University, Abraka.
