Abeke Lays Wreath At Armed Forces Remembrance Day Celebration.

Okakuro Bright Afure Abeke, Executive Chairman Of Sapele Local Government Council on Wednesday, January 15th, 2025 led staff of Sapele local government council, the armed forces and other top government functionaries to honour the nation's living and fallen heroes by laying the wreath at the cenotaph.
The ceremony was the climax of the Armed Forces Remembrance activities which began with the launch by the Executive Chairman of Sapele local government council, Hon. Okakuro Bright Abeke and was witness by great men and women from all walks of life.
On hand to witness the ceremony were Hon. Mrs. Dora Aweto, vice chairman, Sapele local government council, Hon. Francis Okpigben, PDP Chairman, Sapele local government area, Chief Babuba Moses Abeke, Hon. Vincent Ayomanor, Rt. Hon. Samuel Azu, Hon. Raymond Overah, Hon. Peter Eferurie Adjemiyotan, Hon. Koko Ese, Hon. Mereti Emmanuel, Hon. July Ayomanor, Hon Odiri Oba.
Others at the wreath laying ceremony were Hon. Justice Anthony E. Okorodas, Mr Victor Okpue Ossai, Mr Alexander Djukpan, Lt. Col. Neburagho Wilson and a host of other dignitaries.
Prayers were offered for the living and peaceful repose of the souls of the departed heroes who fought gallantly for global peace. This was followed by the observance of a minute silence.
The event was also marked by the symbolic release of white pigeon by Bright Abeke to signify peace.
Sapele council boss led the wreath laying ceremony accompanied by his vice chairman, Hon. Mrs Dora Aweto and other staff of council.
This was followed by the High Court Judge, Sapele, the leader of the legislative arm, the Commanding Officer Nigerian Army, Sapele and others too numerous to mention.
