Project Inspection: Ashima Deserves 100% Score In Performance Rating -  Commissioner.

The Honourable Commissioner, Directorate of Local Government and Chieftancy Affairs, Delta State,Prince Kelly Penalama Penawou,has  scored the Warri North council chairman,Hon.Festus Ani Ashima, 100% rating in terms of performance in office, saying he saw what amazed him in Warri North, in terms of project execution within just four months of Hon Ashima coming to office .

The Local Government Commissioner gave the performance rating today Thursday 5th December, 2024,in Koko, headquarters of the local government council,after being led on a marathon project inspection tour covering both riverine  and upland areas of the local government where massive projects being executed by the Ashima led administration are ongoing.
The project inspection tour which commenced in the early hours of Thursday took the Hon.Commissioner to Oboghoro City, a riverine community where a set of six(6) two bedroom modern apartments built by the WARRI North chairman have been completed already. All six  apartments are fitted with solar power system which guarantee steady power supply.

The Commissioner further said that,he was mostly amazed at the massive array of multi-million naira projects embarked upon by the Warri North boss at same time,noting that the terrain of the council area was a difficult one which cost more funds quite unlike normal terrain.He was full of praises for Hon.Ashima for prudent managemenr of fund available to his government.

Receiving the visitors at Oboghoro City, Hon.(Dr) Godwin Toritseju Ebosa(MFR),a former Chairman of Delta Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC) and top leader in the community,thanked the top visitor for the inspection tour even as he asked Prince Kelly to help  him express his appreciation to the state Governor for  his good heart in serving the state,especially in the areas of provision of needed  funds to DESOPADEC and the local governments to work,pointing out that the appointment of the local government commissioner was like putting a square peg in a square hole because his performance too,has been fantastic.

The team later visited Koko to inspect more projects. Projects inspected in Koko were :The reconstructed Chairman's Executive Lodge(nearing completion),The new Chairman's Executive One-Storey Office Complex sited at the council secretariat ground, the new Koko main market under construction, dredged canals and drainage sites already evacuated by the Ashima led government.

In his welcome remark,the Warri North council boss, Hon.Festus Ashima, expressed deep gratitude to the Hon.Commissioner for accepting the tedious task of project inspection in his local council area giving the difficult terrain the projects were sited.

Hon.Ashima also used the occasion of the project tour to thank the state Governor whom he always called his daddy,for promptly releasing allocation to council chairmen in the state and revealed that his council funds were never tampered with at anytime,a gesture Hon Festus Ashima said has helped him do the much he has been able to do so far .

On the team to inspect the projects were a retinue of officials from the Commissioner 's entourage and officials of the local government council.

Edwin Clark dies at 97 Former Federal Commissioner for Information and South-South Leader, Edwin Clark, is de@d. According to a statement released by his family, the chairman of the Pan Niger Delta Forum, PANDEF died on Monday night,February 17.
