The executive Chairman of Sapele LGA, Hon Bright Afure Abeke has taken a new step to clean Sapele clean during the monthly environmental Sanitation today held at Amukpe Round About as the newly inaugurated 'KEEP SAPELE CLEAN WOMEN' were fully on ground to ensure that the community is clean, Safe and Healthy for all Sapele residents.
This practice will protect and promote the individual health and quality of life of communities.

Many passers-by are already singing the Chairman 's praises for this new approach which will be sustainable.

In attendance are the Council Vice Chairman, Hon Mrs Dora Aweto, Council Secretary, Hon Raymond Overah , Council chief of Staff mr Mike Eboh , various supervisor councilors like Hon Sajere Kingsley on Environment, Mrs Koko Koko ese Beauty  on Health, Mr Emmanuel Mereti on Agriculture, different Sapele ward councilors like Rt. Hon Samuel Azu, leader of the Sapele Legislative Arm, Hon Engr Peter Governor , Majority leader of the house, (ward 19), Honourable Gabriel Omofeye (ward 11),  Hon Oghenerukevwe Ayomanor (ward 5), Hon Justice Amugen Okiemute (ward 13), Hon Kevwe Jubilee Francis Idonoro (ward 14) amongst other councilors, HOD on Environment, Environmental Health workers among others.

DTSG Shifts BECE , Reschedules Examinations Commencement Date To  Monday, June 16 By Magnus Emuji  The 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) , earlier scheduled to begin from June 9 to June 13 for both public and private secondary schools in Delta State has been shifted to a new date . A statement from the Functioning Permanent Secretary in Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Mr. Daniel Akiri, on behalf of the State Commissioner for Secondary Education, Mrs. Rose Ezewu said that the would now commence from June 16 to June 20. Edwin Clark dies at 97 Former Federal Commissioner for Information and South-South Leader, Edwin Clark, is de@d. According to a statement released by his family, the chairman of the Pan Niger Delta Forum, PANDEF died on Monday night,February 17. He was 97 years old.  The statement read,  “The Clark-Fuludu Bekederemo family of Kiagbodo Town, Delta State, wishes to announce the passing of Chief (Dr.) Sen. Edwin Kiagbodo Clark OFR, CON on Monday 17th February , 2025.’’ Born in Kiagbodo, in the Ijaw area of what is now Delta State, late Clark attended primary and secondary schools at Effurun, Okrika and Afugbene before completing further studies at the Government Teacher Training College, which later became Delta State University, Abraka. Thereafter, he worked briefly as a school teacher before traveling abroad to earn a law degree.
