ESEMERO FAMILY HOLDS 20TH ANNUAL FAMILY PRAYER RETREAT.

The Esemero family of Idjerhe kingdom in Ethiope West local government area of Delta State has held it's 20th annual family prayer retreat. 
The prayer retreat with it's theme, "Greatness & Exceedingly Increase", taken from the book of Genesis 9 vs 1, and Psalm 115 vs 14 was held at double Chief London Akpanoko's residence, Jesse.
Speaking during the program, the Chief Host, double Chief London Owhofasa Akpanoko said that the program was organized on a yearly basis to bring family members from far and near together. 
The program is meant to pray, we pray together in unity and making request to God. It is also an opportunity to see family members whom we have not seen for long, especially those from overseas. It is also an opportunity to familiarize with new members of the family, introducing the younger ones to their root.

We have been organizing this program for the past 20 years and it has always been a success, this year, the program was successful as well, with God keeping us alive, we will hold the 21st annual prayer retreat as well, he said.

Bishop Ameye, the guest preacher who spoke on Greatness, emphasize on the need for prayers, he urge family members to be united in love and harmony. 

"Pray for everyone to be great and do well in life, when everyone in the family is well to do, the family is more peaceful and united, but when only one person in the family is rich, the burden is usually too much, he added.

The founder & General overseer of Channels of Greatness Unshakable Ministry, Bishop Akpore, popular known as "e dey work" spoke on the need to give, he urge members of the family to give towards the family program especially when it has to do with God.

The program came to an end with the family praying together for peace, unity, prosperity and long life, with a lavish reception.

Edwin Clark dies at 97 Former Federal Commissioner for Information and South-South Leader, Edwin Clark, is de@d. According to a statement released by his family, the chairman of the Pan Niger Delta Forum, PANDEF died on Monday night,February 17. He was 97 years old.  The statement read,  “The Clark-Fuludu Bekederemo family of Kiagbodo Town, Delta State, wishes to announce the passing of Chief (Dr.) Sen. Edwin Kiagbodo Clark OFR, CON on Monday 17th February , 2025.’’ Born in Kiagbodo, in the Ijaw area of what is now Delta State, late Clark attended primary and secondary schools at Effurun, Okrika and Afugbene before completing further studies at the Government Teacher Training College, which later became Delta State University, Abraka.
