Delta State Commissioner for Local Government Affairs Inspects Ongoing Projects in Sapele, Commends Council Chairman 

Honorable Prince K. Penawou, Delta State's Commissioner for Local Government Affairs, recently paid a visit to Sapele to inspect ongoing projects in the area. 

The visit was part of a statewide tour mandated by the Delta State Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, aimed at assessing the progress of various projects across the 25 local government areas in Delta State.
Accompanied by Sapele Local Government Council Chairman, Hon. Bright Abeke, Hon. Prince Penawou inspected the ongoing road project at Palmer Road and the Reclamation Ultra-Modern Motor Park project at Reclamation. 

These projects are crucial to the development and growth of Sapele, and the visit by Hon. Prince Penawou demonstrates the Delta State Government's commitment to ensuring their timely completion.
Speaking to newsmen after the inspection, Hon. Prince Penawou commended Hon. Bright Abeke for his efforts, stating that he is "trying," but also emphasizing that more work needs to be done. 

This constructive feedback is essential in driving progress and ensuring that projects are completed to the highest standards across the state in line with the Delta State Governor M.O.R.E Agenda 

On his part, Hon. Bright Abeke expressed his gratitude to Hon. Prince Penawou for the visit, acknowledging that it would help bring about a face-lift to Sapele. This collaborative approach to governance is vital in addressing the needs of the community and ensuring that development projects are tailored to meet the specific requirements of the area.

The entourage of Hon. Prince Penawou included Mr. Opuware, Director of Administration; Mr. Paul Oyeye, DPRS; Mrs. P.A. Eyeregba, Director of Inspectorate and Monitoring Services; Mrs. B. O. Emasogbe, Director of Local Government; Hon. Innocent Akpoyibo, SA to the Hon. Commissioner; and support staff, including three drivers and two security personnel.

The visit by Hon. Prince Penawou underscores the importance of collaboration and oversight in ensuring that development projects are completed efficiently and effectively. 

By working together, state and local government officials can drive progress, address the needs of their constituents, and create a brighter future for all.

As Hon. Prince Penawou continues his statewide tour, it is essential that local government officials and community leaders work together to identify areas of need and develop targeted solutions.

According to a statement released by his family, the chairman of the Pan Niger Delta Forum, PANDEF died on Monday night,February 17. He was 97 years old.  The statement read,  “The Clark-Fuludu Bekederemo family of Kiagbodo Town, Delta State, wishes to announce the passing of Chief (Dr.) Sen.
