Bright Abeke Dissolves, Reconstitute Sapele Vigilante
SAPELE LOCAL GOVERNMENT PRESS RELEASE

TO ALL VIGILANTE IN SAPELE LOCAL GOVERNMENT COUNCIL

The Executive Chairman of Sapele LGA Hon Bright Abeke has dissolved and reconstitute members of the Sapele Vigilantes group, the decision by the Chairman is aimed at strengthening the security framework and improving the efficiency of the group in the  local government. 

According to the council's Secretary, Hon Raymond Overah, all current members of the group are  thereby relieved of their current duties and responsibilities with immediate effect. Assets, equipment or documents in their possession must be returned to the appropriate authorities within seven days. 
The statement further say, "the Vigilantes group in Sapele LGA will be divided into two zones, (Zone A and B) zone A will be for Urban why zone B will be for rural. 

The new commander of zone A will be Mr Ufuoma Egwubare and that of Zone B will be Mr Champion Amukoyo, both commander will be under the administrative control of Chief Ikechukwu Nwankwo who is the Director General of Security to the Chairman of Sapele LGA.

The Director General will report directly to the Chairman of Sapele LGA, certificate of membership to join the newly reforms Vigilantes shall be duly signed by the Chairman of Sapele LGA, the Divisional Police Officer and the Director General of Security to the chairman.

Edwin Clark dies at 97 Former Federal Commissioner for Information and South-South Leader, Edwin Clark, is de@d. According to a statement released by his family, the chairman of the Pan Niger Delta Forum, PANDEF died on Monday night,February 17. He was 97 years old.  The statement read,  “The Clark-Fuludu Bekederemo family of Kiagbodo Town, Delta State, wishes to announce the passing of Chief (Dr.) Sen. Edwin Kiagbodo Clark OFR, CON on Monday 17th February , 2025.’’ Born in Kiagbodo, in the Ijaw area of what is now Delta State, late Clark attended primary and secondary schools at Effurun, Okrika and Afugbene before completing further studies at the Government Teacher Training College, which later became Delta State University, Abraka.
