NEW DIVISIONAL POLICE OFFICER PAYS FAMILIARIZATION VISIT TO SAPELE COUNCIL BOSS BRIGHT AFURE ABEKE. 

On Monday, November 25, 2024, the newly appointed Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Sapele Local Government  Area, CSP Olasunkanmi Musiliu Alade, paid a familiarization visit to the Executive Chairman of Sapele Local Government Area, Hon. Bright Abeke. 

During his visit, CSP Olasunkanmi commended the existing security architecture in Sapele, describing it as impressive. He noted his experience working in different locations, but highlighted the uniqueness of Sapele's security approach. 
"I came here to seek your cooperation and prayers. The security architecture I have seen on the ground here is impressive. If we work together as a team, I am confident we will succeed. Security is a top priority for the governor, and we must continue to follow his vision of making Delta State safe for everyone," CSP Olasunkanmi stated.

The new DPO expressed appreciation for his predecessor, CSP Harrison Nwabuisi, for laying a solid foundation of security in Sapele. He promised to build on the successes achieved so far and called for continued support from the council and the people of Sapele.  
"My predecessor did a wonderful job, and I am here to continue where he left off. With the cooperation of the council and the people of Sapele, we will make this town even safer," he added.

CSP Olasunkanmi also acknowledged the collaborative support the police have received from the local government council, noting that his predecessor had spoken highly of the council’s efforts. He expressed hope for the same level of support as he begins his tenure.

In his remarks, Hon. Bright Abeke, the Chairman of Sapele Local Government, assured the newly appointed DPO of the council’s unwavering support. He emphasized the importance of collaboration in maintaining security and commended the police for their sacrifices and commitment to protecting lives and property in Sapele.  

"The police have always been our partners in progress, and we appreciate the sacrifices you make daily to protect our communities. Security is a shared responsibility, and we must work together to bring crime to the barest minimum. Together, we can create a secure environment for development," Hon. Abeke stated.

The visit was attended by senior police offices like; ASP Nosa Silas, SP Stephen Ukoba, Ahonsi Aigbokhaevbo,  Chief Ikechukwu A. Nwankwo (Director General of Security)

The visit ended on a high note, with both parties expressing optimism about the future of security in Sapele. The DPO expressed gratitude for the warm reception and reiterated the importance of collaboration in achieving lasting peace and safety.

As CSP Olasunkanmi settles into his new role, residents of Sapele are hopeful that the partnership between the local government and the police will continue to foster peace, security, and development in the area.
