Again flood victims receive relief materials from Delta State Government.

Delta State Government Presents Another batch of Relief Items to victims of flood Disaster.
 
Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, represented by the Honourable Commissioner, Bureau for Special Duties, Hon. Etacherure Ejiro Terry presented various relief items to flood victims from Oshimili South, Ndokwa East  and Ndokwa West Local Government Areas.
 
The Honourable Commissioner accompanied by the Permanent Secretary of the Bureau, Prince Gregory Ejiro Ejohwomu and the Director State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) Mr. karo Ovemeso, presented the relief materials which included bags of rice, garri, palm oil,clothes, detergents and matresses to the victims.
 
Recall that earlier last month, the team visited the various Local Government Areas in the state to conduct an on-the-spot assessment of the water levels in some communities that were ravaged by flood.
 
Noting that the relief items presentation demonstrates the Governor’s unwavering commitment to catering for all residents of the State, the Commissioner admonished the representative from the LGAs to ensure that the items got to the vulnerable among them.
 
In response, the Vice Chairman, Oshimili South Local Government Council, Mrs Ify Ogbogu who stood in for her Chairman, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the State Government for the enormous support and relentless contributions to cushion the effects of the disaster on the victims.
 
This relief items distribution serves as a testament to Governor Oborevwori’s people-oriented leadership and commitment to the well-being of all Deltans and residents of Delta State.
