WITH SHERIFF OBOREVWORI AS GOVERNOR, DELTANS GOT IT RIGHT

When Sheriff Oborevwori assumed office as the Governor of Delta State on MAY 29th 2023, many doubted his ability to deliver on his campaign promises on the MORE AGENDA. However, he has proven his critics wrong, demonstrating exceptional leadership and vision. Under his administration, Delta State has witnessed unprecedented transformation, cementing his legacy with visible projects. 

Governor Oborevwori's achievements so far, are a testament to his dedication to the people of Delta State. He has prioritized infrastructure development, educational reforms, healthcare expansion, economic empowerment, and agricultural development, among other areas. His administration's efforts have yielded remarkable results, improving the lives of citizens and driving economic growth.

One of the governor's notable achievements is the educational sector where over 3,000 teaching and non-teaching staff have been employed to improve primary education in the state, the establishment of new schools, teacher training programs, and scholarships for deserving students.

The governor's commitment to healthcare has led to the increased numbers of people been enrolled in the Delta State Contributory Health Scheme (DSCHC):

- Over 1.2 million enrollees were recorded as of August 2023, marking 20% coverage among the state's citizens ¹.

- As of March 2024, the number of enrollees increased to 2 million ².

- An additional 295 vulnerable persons were registered by June 2024 ³. New hospitals and healthcare facilities sprouting across the state. 

His administration's economic empowerment initiatives have supported small businesses, entrepreneurship, and job creation, through the increased number of beneficiaries of the D-CARES program by 205% (from 36,353 to 110,841) driving economic growth and reducing unemployment.

Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has transformed the state infrastructure by investing heavily on road construction, bridge building, and highway development, enhancing connectivity and Facilitating  economic growth. 

Through Governor Sheriff Oborevwori MORE AGENDA, More Youths have been appointed into key positions and programmes, leveraging their strengths and talents. 

Agricultural development has also received a boost, with support for farmers and investment in irrigation projects, leading to increased food production and security. The governor's leadership has also ensured transparency and accountability in governance, combating corruption and ensuring prudent management of state resources.

In conclusion, Without doubt, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori's administration has been a resounding success so far, demonstrating his ability to deliver on his MOREAGENDA. Deltans indeed got it right by electing him as their governor.
