Otefe Polytechnic celebrates accreditation of 30 academic programs, appreciate Governor Sheriff.

Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe, Oghara has hosted a lavish party to celebrate accreditation of 30 academic program, thank His Excellency, Rt Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, Executive Governor of Delta State and appreciate staff for their dedication to promoting the Polytechnic to reach greater heights. 
The event which was held on Friday, April 12th, 2024 at the James Onanefe Ibori Auditorium had in attendance academic and non-academic staff who were all gorgeously dressed.

The Rector, Professor Emmanuel Ufuophu-Biri said that the Polytechnic was celebrating full accreditation of 30 academic programs by the National Board for Technical Education, thank Governor Sheriff for his support and appreciate staff for their devotion and dedication to work.
Speaking accordingly, Professor Emmanuel Ufuophu-Biri said, "Today is a very special day for us, we are celebrating full accreditation of 30 academic programs".

I want to thank His Excellency, Rt Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori, Executive Governor of Delta State, the Delta State House Committee on Education, chaired by Hon. Chief Charles Emetulu for assisting us in achieving our goal.

I also want to thank the Honourable commissioner for Higher Education, Professor Nyerovwo Tonukari for the role in played in assisting the polytechnic achieve it's success.

Speaking further, Prof. Emmanuel said, "Management is hosting academic and non-academic staff, to a lavish reception. It is unusual, but it is good to celebrate together as one family after our hard work in accreditation paid off".

In walking journalists through the rigorous accreditation process, Prof. Emmanuel Ufuophu-Biri spoke of relief at the Polytechnic's success. "It was like an examination for the institution, but thank God it all went well," he remarked. 

When asked about challenges, Prof  Emmanuel Ufuophu-Biri said that the institution faced no fundamental issues internally. "We have full control over security, student and staff conduct according to our rules", he noted.

We have programs that have been accredited and students can come and learn, he added. 

Once again, I thank the staff for the efforts they put in to see that we succeed, he added.
