Friday Jemikalaja declares interest for Sapele ward 11 councillorship position, consult excos.

Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Grassroot mobilizer, Mr Friday Jemikalaja has declared his interest to contest for the councillorship position of ward 11, Sapele local government area of Delta State.

Friday Jemikalaja made this declaration on Monday, April 8th, 2024 at the ward chairman's house in the presence of the ward executives and other party faithful.

Speaking during the declaration, Friday Jemikalaja said, "I have come to inform you of my intention to contest for the councillorship position of the ward. I urge you all to give me your support to enable me represent and bring the dividends of democracy to the ward level".

Speaking accordingly, the ward chairman, Moses Kakagbose describe Friday Jemikalaja as competent and capable to represent the ward, while noting that the voting power of who becomes the next councillor of the ward, lies on the shoulders of the ward leaders".

"If it were up to me, you are very qualified to be my councillor, but it is the ward leaders that decides, it is the person that they choose, that we would work with, if they choose you, we would work with you and support you, he said".

Lovette Olokpa, the women leader of the ward and other excos of the ward, spoke in the same vein, in their words, "we will support you and work for you if the leaders of the ward choose you to be our next councillor, they said.
