Sapele LGA Pool 2024: Chairmanship aspirant for Sapele Local Government, Samuel Odafe Odjuwuederhie unveils agenda.

A chairmanship aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for Sapele local government area of Delta State, Comrade Odjuwuederhie Samuel Odafe has assured the residents of Sapele of fast tracking infrastructural sustainable development in council if given the mandate to serve.
Comrade Samuel Odafe while addressing journalist on Wednesday, March 6th, 2024 at his home in Sapele local government area of Delta State, said he is eminently qualify to lead the council to greater heights than other aspirants.

Unveiling his agenda, comrade Samuel Odafe said if elected, he will focus on the following; 

"Firstly, he would focus on local opinion, a platform where people are able to express themselves, so that he can be abreast with their needs. He would ensure that what the people need is taking into consideration during decision making and situations where the local government cannot handle such needs, it will be directed to higher level and follow up would be done for proper execution.
"Flooding: " Tackling the issue of flood will be top most priority in my administration, if I am given the mandate to serve. 

Another area I would focus on will be the construction and reconstruction of roads to allow for easy movement and decongest major roads from traffic.

Another area, I would focus on will be waste management, that is keeping Sapele clean and healthy for all. 

Social development would not be left out, I will embark on sustainable enlightenment campaign against the use of hard drugs and discourage youths from cultism which has cut short their lives.

Provision of social amenities through continuous maintenance of roads, renovation of health care centre, primary school, public toilet, provision of water across all primary and secondary schools within the local government.

My administration would also promote young talents in the music, education, entertainment, and sport industry if I am given the mandate to serve. 

Youth empowerment and skill acquisition. My administration would execute various skills training center for youths to learn, so that they can be independent and self reliant. 

Protection of private businesses from intimidation and harrassment to enhance local government economy in Sapele.

Insecurity: the safety of residents will be of utmost importance for me as the Chief Security Officer of the local government. I would promote and support local policing in the local government area. 

Resuscitation of the local government committee system. The Nigeria local administration system is designed to operate the committee system. If elected as chairman of Sapele local government area, I will ensure that Community Conflict Resolution, Women & girl child welfare, Hard drugs prevention campaign committee etc, are all set up with adequate funding to work effectively in the local government.

Comrade Samuel Odafe also promised to initiate youth support programmes to empower and provide jobs for youths and women in the council. 

If elected, my administration would be all inclusive. I will endeavour to carry the young and old along. 

If elected, I would need the prayers, support, assistance, motivation, and correction where necessary. 

As I journey to the primary, I enjoin you all, my teeming supporters to pray for my victory which would be celebrated as the people's victory, he added.

According to a statement released by his family, the chairman of the Pan Niger Delta Forum, PANDEF died on Monday night,February 17.
