NAPHER-SD validates result of Alfred Jonah International School  Inter-house sports competition.

The Chairman of the Nigeria Association for Physical, Health Education, Recreation, Sport and Dance, NAPHER-SD, Mr Ojighoro Freeborn has validated the authenticity of the results for the Alfred Jonah International Schools Inter-house sports competition held on Thursday, March 7th, 2024 at the Sapele township stadium.
Mr Ojighoro Freeborn said, I am the chairman of NAPHER-SD, and we are saddled with the responsibility of conducting Inter-house sports competition and other sporting activities in the local government and State.
"We have been conducting inter-house sports competition for decades and our results are always accurate. We have different sporting activities with different mark attached to it. Sports like race, long jump, cycling has higher points than lime and spoon race, March pass, filing the bottle with water etc. A lot of person do not understand this.
We don't collect money to declare winner in any inter-house competition. Inter-house sports is just a game of friendly competition amongst students and pupils.
You might come out as overall first in an inter-house sport this year and the next Inter-house sports competition, you are coming out second or third, depending on the performance of the children, it is what they exhibit that we score them with.
Mr Tony Aniretan, patron of blue house, while reacting to the allegation that he bribed the school, organizers of the Inter-house sports competition, NAPHER-SD , said, "This is just a friendly competition amongst students and pupils. Hearing such allegations baffles me. You can win today and tomorrow you are loosing. In the last Inter-house, my house did not win. So, are they saying that those who won last year bribed? And coming to the aspect of bribing NAPHER-SD, it simply means that those who came in second place were bribed to fail. Because during race, cycling and other sporting activities, Blue house came first, so, are they trying to say that, the students/pupils who participated in the race and other cycling activity were bribed to fail, so that blue house can come first?. 
The Proprietor of Alfred Jonah International School, while reacting to the allegation that a patron bribed the school and NAPHER official to take first position said, "this is outrageous, I am surprise with the way people can fabricate false story and tell it without their conscience pricking them. We hold all our parents in high esteem, our students and pupils are dear to us. It was a friendly sport competition to discover young talent, keep the children fit, and complete their syllabus, sporting activities is part of the school's curriculum. No one can bribe talent, you cannot bribe your way to become the best when it has to do with sports, because it is what you have that you exhibit and that is what people will see, and rate you with, he added.
He urge those involved in such malicious scandal to desist from such post that can break the confidence of the pupils and students.

Edwin Clark dies at 97 Former Federal Commissioner for Information and South-South Leader, Edwin Clark, is de@d. According to a statement released by his family, the chairman of the Pan Niger Delta Forum, PANDEF died on Monday night,February 17.
