An inspiring chairmanship aspirant in Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State, Mr Morrison Aligba F. has unveiled an ambitious plan to alleviate the suffering of residents if elected into office.
Speaking to journalists in Sapele, Morrison said "My main focus will be on developing critical infrastructure to open up both rural and urban communities." He added that "roads, schools, hospitals and water supply will receive utmost priority to enhance people's living standards."
Morrison Aligba also promised to "Create jobs for our teeming youths and support businesses to thrive" through skills acquisition programmes and microcredit schemes. According to him, "An empowered populace is key to eliminating poverty and restiveness."
Morrison further stated that "Programmes will be put in place to cater for the widows, orphans and other vulnerable groups through his social welfare department." He stressed that, "No one under my watch will suffer unnecessarily due to lack of basic provision."
On agriculture, Morrison said "Farmers will get all the help required to boost food production and security." He said modern techniques and access to markets will be provided to encourage farming as a business.
On security, Morrison Aligba said, the problem of insecurity would be tackled with all devotion and dedication, adding that he would work with the DSS, Army, Police, local vigilante to ensure that the life and property of Sapele residents are protected.
When asked how he intends to fund his programmes, Morrison said "Partnership with private sector driven is crucial for sustainable development." He believes in transparency and accountability in spending the people's resources.
