Evangelist Michael Diden, Chief Emmanuel Uduaghan, Elema, Hon Dr Godfrey Enita, Hon Eugene Inoaghan, Chief Adams Utimeyin, Chief Walter Boyo, Hon Austine Ayemidejor, Mr Richard Randy Okotie, Hon Justice Obaro Odebala, Chief Joseph Atseyinku, Chief Festus Pemu, Chief Cyril Ogodo, Chief Mrs Rashidat Julius Egbedi, Evangelist Mrs Mary Diden, Chief Mrs Anirah, Hon Okpoye Okubo Spencer, Hon Ejiro Jamani, Chief Godwin Dadi, Prophet Fred Majemite Obeba, Chief Austin Atiti, Hon Francis Okpigben, Hon Goodluck Arimitan, Hon Harrison Ekeleme, Lady Joyce Jemirherhi, Mrs Florence Mujakperuo, Mr Mamus Okpako were amongst dignitaries who grace the burial ceremony of Late Mama Victoria Ekpeogharanetse Asamah Etchie who died at 88 years of age.
The remains of mama Victoria Ekpeogharanetse Asamah Etchie was laid to rest on Saturday, February 10th, 2024 at Sapele, Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State.
The funeral ceremony also show case the beautiful cultural heritage of the Itsekiri people.
Mr Utieyin Asamah, mama's eldest son in his speech during the funeral reception ceremony described his relationship with his late mother, as a relationship between a mother and son.
Speaking accordingly, he said; "my mother and I were best of friends, I love my mother very much and would miss her dearly. I appreciate all those who came to pay their last respect to my mother and I want to tell them that, if their mother is still alive, they should take care of her, because a great blessing is attachs to caring for one's mother.
Mrs Philo Asamah, mama's eldest daughter in-law described her relationship with mama as cordial. In her words, "mama was a very kind and lovely woman. She was truthful and always stood for the truth. She was a great adviser too, she would advise me as a daughter in-law and tell me to handle issue. I would miss her greatly for her motherly advice she said.
The funeral also show case traditional dancers, musicians who were on ground to entertain guests.
