New Students take Matriculation Oath as Otefe Polytechnic holds 22nd ceremony.

Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe, Oghara, held her 22nd Matriculation ceremony at the Chief James Onanefe Ibori Auditorium on 19th January, 2024.
Declaring the matriculation ceremony open, Professor Emmanuel Ufophu-Biri in his welcome address congratulated the students for scaling through the selection process for admission into the polytechnic.
I gladly welcome and congratulate you to the citadel of learning. I thank you for choosing Delta State Polytechnic as your centre for learning. I appreciate the parents/guardian for taking the responsibility to sponsor their ward into higher institution for further learning. Education is a passport and visa to success. It is a ticket to open opportunity, it helps to catapult the poor's man child to greater height. It exposes us to different field.
Otefe Polytechnic will expose you to various technology, & skills. Our staff are highly trained. You will get the best in learning.

I urge you to be studious and excel to be as accomplished as Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg and others.

The matriculation oath was administered by the polytechnic registrar Mr Efedi Chukwuemeke, after which students were made to sign the matriculation register.

Edwin Clark dies at 97 Former Federal Commissioner for Information and South-South Leader, Edwin Clark, is de@d. According to a statement released by his family, the chairman of the Pan Niger Delta Forum, PANDEF died on Monday night,February 17. He was 97 years old.  The statement read,  “The Clark-Fuludu Bekederemo family of Kiagbodo Town, Delta State, wishes to announce the passing of Chief (Dr.) Sen. Edwin Kiagbodo Clark OFR, CON on Monday 17th February , 2025.’’ Born in Kiagbodo, in the Ijaw area of what is now Delta State, late Clark attended primary and secondary schools at Effurun, Okrika and Afugbene before completing further studies at the Government Teacher Training College, which later became Delta State University, Abraka. Thereafter, he worked briefly as a school teacher before traveling abroad to earn a law degree.
