Sapele: Familiarization tour, workers welfare is our priority - Otirhue.

The Chairman, Delta State Local Government Service Commission, Dcn Joseph Otirhue has paid a familiarization visit to Sapele Local Government Council to familiarize himself with the leadership and staff of Sapele Local Government Council on Wednesday, November 8th, 2023. 
Dcn Joseph Otirhue was warmly received by the council chairman, Chief Eugene Inoaghan, who was ably represented by his vice chairman, Hon Vincent Ayomanor at the council secretariat, along with other council staff.
Hon Vincent Ayomanor, thanked the commission chairman for the visit, while assuring him of continuous cordial relation and cooperation from the council.
During his address, Dcn Joseph Otirhue expressed his appreciation for the warm reception, he also thanked the council staff for voting for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, saying that their vote brought in Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori as Executive Governor of Delta State.
Speaking accordingly, he said, "This familiarization tour by the Local Government Service Commission, is for us to interact with staff, know their feelings and how they are fairing".

"This visit provides us the opportunity to have face to face interaction with staff. It will also provide us with the opportunity to meet the MORE Agenda of His Excellency, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori at the grassroot."
He also hinted on the need for staffs to adhere to the rules and regulations that guides the local government as it will ensure the success of government at the grassroot.

He also noted that, to ensure that staff gets promoted as at when due, a new Annual Performance Evaluation Report (APER) form has been approved and all staff should endeavour to fill it at the appropriate time. 

Otirhue emphasize on the need for staff to work in harmony as it will help the commission to work effectively.

Comrade Mrs Mercy Igeyen, Chairman NULGE, who was ably represented by his vice chairman, comrade Omoni Emmanuel, thanked the service commission chairman for ensuring that they get their promotions as at when due and for always prioritizing the welfare of the local government workers.
 
Mr Austin Inikoro gave the vote of thanks on behalf of the local government staff and assured the service commission chairman of their unalloyed support and cooperation.
