Former Secretary of ward 7, and Grassroot politician, Mr Omo Hezekiah Okpigben has joined the councillorship race for ward 7. Consulting the number one Leader of the ward, Mr Richard Randy Okotie on Tuesday 31st, 2023, Omo Okpigben said, My Leader sir, I have come to inform you that I am contesting for the councillorship position of ward 7 and I will be very grateful if I get your support sir.
Speaking in support of the councillorship ambition of Mr Omo Hezekiah Okpigben, Hon Paul Ovieghara said, we have come to see you as the Leader of ward 7 and to present our choice to you in the person of Omo Okpigben, we need you to support him, because we are aware that you have the say in who becomes the councillor of the ward.
Mr Member Eghelenohor an elder of ward 7 said, Omo Okpigben is the elder's choice, we have endorsed him. He has the support of the youth, women and elders of the ward.
Responding, Mr Richard Randy Okotie said, 'I am overwhelmed by the numbers of followers that you have, these goes to show that you are a grass root man.

"However, you must also consult other leaders in the ward and in the local government" everyone is important, so endeavour to consult them as well."
We are still waiting for DSIEC, as soon as we get the template from DSIEC for the election, we would know what to do.
You must also remember that, it is God that gives power, it is he who make leaders, I will pray that the Lord grants your wish and prayers, he said.
