Front line advocate for girl child education, Queen Stephanie Ikanone Odiete has gifted free notebooks, school bag to pioneer students of Sapele council secondary school on Monday, September 25th, 2023.
Queen Stephanie Ikanone Odiete made dozens of notebooks available to the students as part of her contributions to better the life of the students and promote education.
Speaking accordingly Queen Stephanie said, "Education for me is wealth, It is everything, I believe that the child or individual who is educated has 90℅ chances of living a comfortable life in future, so I always encourage people to go to school and get educated". When I hear people saying that education is a scam, I often laugh at their ignorance and that is why my motto says, "Education is not a scam, come let's go back to school". The benefits of education are enormous and every child deserves to be educated. I decided to give these notebooks to some of the students, because when I visited the school, I saw that some of the students had not completed the required notebooks that they ought buy, so I decided to support them from my window's mite, those who are led by the spirit of doing good, can still assist. I have given notebooks to some students and pupils of other schools as well. You can see the joy radiating from the faces of the students and that is my joy in given, not necessarily because I have enough, but the fact that it will put smile on the face of someone, is enough reason for me",she said.
In a society where things are very hard currently, it is very difficult to see people that are still involved in this type of services using their personal cash to assist the needy through education, let us support Queen Stephanie advocacy group for education, to enable her support more students, a parent whose daughter received 12 notebooks said.
