Egbedi pays courtesy visit to mandate area royal father, HRM King Obukowho Monday Whiskey, seeks royal blessing.

Chief Julius Egbedi, Commissioner representing Sapele, Ethiope West, and Okpe Local Government Areas on the Board of Delta State Oil Producing Area Development Commission today Wednesday, September 6th, 2023 paid a courtesy visit to the Ovie of Great Idjerhe kingdom, His Royal Majesty, King Obukowho Monday Whiskey (JP), to familiarize himself with the King and good people of Idjerhe kingdom.
Chief Julius Egbedi while addressing His Royal Majesty, King Obukowho Monday Whiskey said, "I have come to familiarize myself with you and seek your royal blessing to succeed".
DESOPADEC is an interventionist board, aimed at bringing government closer to the people.
I want to assure you that Ethiope West is fully represented, the Chairman of the Board, Chief John Obukowho Nani is from Ethiope West and I am also representing Ethiope West, and so, Ethiope West will get what is fully theirs, Idjerhe kingdom is carried 100%.
Whenever there are issues that needs my attention in Ethiope West, please call me immediately. DESOPADEC has specific responsibility to communities in it's mandate area and as the representative covering Idjerhe kingdom, I want to assure you that the people will benefit from our human capital development policy and they will benefit from our infrastructural and social amenities as well.
His Royal Majesty, King Obukowho Monday Whiskey, while responding to Hon Julius Egbedi said, "You are a son of Urhobo and I urge you not to fail as a true son of Urhobo nation".

For there to be development in any community, there must be peace, we need peace for development and I assure you that you will get peace all through your tenure in office from Idjerhe kingdom. We will cooperate with you and create a conducive environment for you to work, so that development can come.
I urge you to work harmoniously with your Chairman, Executive Directors, and Staff. Decisions should be collective and not personal. Try and leave a legacy of service, honour and integrity during your tenure in office, he added.
In the company of the king to receive Hon Julius Egbedi and his team include Chief Onosa Obiriki, Chief A. T Omonode JP, Chief Moses Akpasa, Chief E. Kingsley, Samuel Otojareri, Chief Oboh, Chief Oyibo, Chief G. O. Amagiya, Chief Lucky Akpore and others. 
The DESOPADEC commissioner on his part was accompanied by Mr Jeremiah Sakpoba, Mrs Racheal Okpegwa, Hon Clifford Ishuni, Hon Jubilee Akufo, Mr Esiri Ikoyo-Eweto, and other dignitaries.
