DESOPADEC: Hon Julius Egbedi pays familiarization visit to HRM King Noble Oyibo Eshemitan.

Former Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources and Member representing Okpe, Sapele and Ethiope West Local Government Areas on the Board of Delta State Oil Producing Area Development Commission, DESOPADEC, Hon Julius Egbedi has paid a familiarization visit to His Royal Majesty, King Noble Oyibo Eshemitan, FCA Uku-Ogharaname, Orefe 111, Ovie of Oghara Kingdom.
Hon Julius Egbedi who was accompanied by Hon Clifford Ishuni, Hon Jubilee Akufo, Mr Jeremiah Sakpoba, Mrs Racheal Okpegwa, Mr Esiri Ikoyo-Eweto and other DESOPADEC staff arrived at the palace of the king on Wednesday, September 6th, 2023 at about 1:30pm.
Speaking accordingly, Chief Julius Egbedi said, "I am here to present myself to you as the representative of DESOPADEC in Ethiope West and to familiarize myself with you".
DESOPADEC is an interventionist board and all bearing communities should benefit from it and as the representative for Oghara, I will ensure that the people benefit from the board.
Speaking further he said, "I have introduced myself to you, you can always reach out to me whenever the need arises".
His Royal Majesty, Noble Oyibo Eshemitan on his part said, "I thank you for the visit, your coming here today, shows that you are a wise man, I congratulate you on your appointment as well".
A wise man deems it fit to relate with community leaders and you have come to relate with us and know our challenges as a people of one of the oil bearing communities in Delta State, which we shall be relating to you very soon.
There are so many things to do, but the paucity of funds as reduced the execution of projects, however, the little should be able to go round and distributed evenly.
Incomplete DESOPADEC projects are here in Oghara, we will be glad if you complete them. You have three mandate areas to attend to, God will guide you to reach out and carry everyone along. I know that funds are not available as it should be, but I also know that you can do something for Oghara, create an indelible record, so that the people of Oghara can be happy.
You have come to familiarize yourself to us and seek royal blessings to succeed, I pray that the land of Oghara will favour you, Sapele & Okpe, will favour you, this administration will favour you. Government will release funds for you to enable you execute projects that will touch lives positively, he said.
In the palace to receive Hon Julius Egbedi include Uzi Felix Ekerevwo, High Chief Stephen Egbivwe, High Chief Maclean Agore, Chief John A. Oboh, Chief Vincent Igho Atumah (JP), Chief Martins Orowigho, Chief Stephen Amareketa and Chief Russel Igbivwie.
