Oghara, Kingdom - In a  ceremony that drew the attendance of youth leaders, branch leaders, and members hailing from both near and far, the Oghara Youth Development Association has welcomed its new executive, led by comrade Edafe Asigboro as the President General.

Stepping into the shoes of his predecessor, Comrade Favour Ededey, Asigboro's rise as the youth body President General was celebrated with grandeur and enthusiasm. The newly formed executive team comprises a cadre of exceptional individuals dedicated to the welfare and progress of Oghara. Alongside Asigboro stands Vice President Ese Arughe, Secretary Onofeghara S. Muyiwa, Assistant Secretary Frank Ayenuko, Public Relations Officer Ajekukor Sabastine, Assistant Public Relations Officer Augustine Apije, and Minister of Defence Kelly Erhiawode. Additionally, the team includes Assistant Minister of Defence Stanley Adula, Treasurer Thanks God Ajakari, Assistant Treasurer Monday Omomedia, and various other esteemed positions.
However, Comrade Ededey, the former Senior Special Assistant to the previous Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, has assumed the distinguished role of Chairman of the Board of Trustees. This esteemed body, consisting of Comrade Frank Oboh, Comrade Ejiro Efetobo, Comrade Isaac Akpoyibo, Comrade Nicholas Omoko, and Comrade Johnbull Abobo, will provide invaluable advisory support to the executive, drawing from their wealth of experience and expertise.
During his address at the momentous occasion, Comrade Ededey humbly acknowledged the challenges he encountered during his tenure. He attributed his triumphs to the divine support of God, the unwavering cooperation of the youth, and the invaluable assistance extended by various leaders. Reflecting on a pivotal moment in Oghara's history, he recounted the arduous journey of advocating for the reinstatement of youth activities in Ethiope West and Oghara, striving relentlessly to prioritize the interests of Oghara's  young population. His tireless efforts fostered unity among communities, ensuring peace and progress throughout the kingdom.

Comrade Ededey also highlighted key accomplishments of his administration, such as the provision of clean pipe-borne water to areas like Igbimidala and Apapa, as well as mobilizing support for indigenous candidates in various elective positions. Inspiring the incoming administration, he urged them to remain vigilant against negative influences such as cultism and criminal activities. Stressing the paramount importance of leading with an open mind and placing the community's interests at the forefront, he encouraged the new President General to surpass his achievements and propel Oghara to even greater heights. In his concluding remarks, Comrade Ededey emphasized the imperative of prioritizing the community above all else, urging the incoming leader to strive for elevated levels of progress.
Responding to the call of duty, the incoming President General, Comrade Edafe Asigboro, expressed his unwavering commitment to action. With a determination to surpass the records set by his predecessor, Asigboro declared, "I am prepared to walk the talk. I don't want to wait a minute; I aim to outshine Ededey's legacy." Promising an era of exceptional performance, he pledged to eradicate vices such as cultism, armed robbery, and other criminal activities that tarnish the community's reputation. Asigboro's resolute stance embodies his dedication to ushering in a new era of progress and prosperity for the people of Oghara.
